The Evan Thomas creek trail was a beautiful spot for an outing. Michelle and I decided to see if the Chantilly Falls ice climb was in.

We covered a total of just over 10km with 268 meters of elevation.

This weeks adventure was a trail run at Barrier Lake, a stunning spot in Kananaskis Country. Our adventure covered a distance of 14.5 kilometers in 2 and a half hours, with a total elevation gain of 589 meters. Despite a minor detour that added extra kilometers, the run was a delightful experience.

Burstall pass gets two thumbs up from a runnability stand point. We were a little late in the season for the larches to be in full color but it was beautiful none the less.

As a man a large part of my identity is who I am as a father. So when my 20 year old daughter calls and says “Hey, I have two days off. Can I come see you in Canmore?” you make sure your calendar is clear.

I had been eyeballing Tent Ridge for a while so when M said she wanted to come for a hike I thought this was the perfect opportunity. This one was more of a scramble then a run. There are certainly some opportunities to run sections of this one but that was not the objective on this day.
